Westside Skydivers

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE BUSINESS?

Westside Skydivers is in its 4th year at our Winsted, MN location at the Winsted Municipal Airport. Since we operate out of a public airport, we are held to the highest of FAA standards. Our jumpmasters have combined well over 50 years in the sport. Our new facility in Houston just opened November 9th at the private airport - Gloster Aerodrome in Sealy, TX! Each one of our tandem instructors has well over 1000 jumps minimum. Most have over 5000!

WHAT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS DO YOU TAKE?

Safety is our number one priority! We take the time and extra cost to drug test our employees. We employ an on staff mechanic - please welcome Jay Ferrell. We at Westside firmly believe that having an onsite maintenance facility will provide our customers a level of safety far superior than anyone in the area.

WHAT AIRCRAFT DO YOU FLY?

We fly a Cessna Caravan in Minnesota, the fastest jumpship in the area - carrying 15 jumpers with a large competition size door to 14k feet in about 12 minutes! We also have a Supervan 900 at our Houston facility - the largest & fastest jumpship available - 21 jumpers to altitude in under 15 minutes! Westside chooses its aircraft for many reasons - it's an American made industry choice for companies such as FedEx - Cessna Caravans, and Grand Caravans have been a reliable aircraft for many companies including ours. With that aircraft reliability and on staff FAA-certified mechanic Westside is keeping our customers the safest anywhere. So a little less on the bottom line is well worth our most precious assets, our customers. Caravans also have competition size doors, which makes for comfortable and easy exits!

SAFETY RECORD?

Untarnished safety record.

HOW MANY OF US CAN JUMP TOGETHER?

We will take up between 4 and 8 tandems at a time.

WHAT ALTITUDE DO YOU JUMP FROM?

We consistently skydive from the highest altitude allowed for the longest freefall available - you get what you pay for. ALL of our tandems students wear and are instructed on how to use an altimeter. KNOW how high your jumping from!!

HOW LONG CAN WE EXPECT TO WAIT?

We have some of the best wait times in the industry because of how we schedule. Sometimes due to weather holds, wait times will increase but we usually can have you in and out within 3 hours. We do not over schedule because we still want you to have the best customer service possible!

The ONLY drop zone that can capture your comments as the parachute opens
